Disabling Control Panel

What is Control Panel? 
Control Panel is a place that has a set of functions to handle the operating system settings. We can set the date/time, remove programs, manage hard-wares such as display, keyboard, printers and changing many of the system settings. 

Why do we disabling Control Panel?
Control panel is an important part of a computer. If you are using a computer at home or office, some of your friends / children or anyone can change the settings and make problems to your system.
They may uninstall an important software or any program, too. In these cases you will be affect and lose your settings. So how to disable and block other users to access control panel.

How to disabling Control Panel?
1. Goto Run command or simply press windows button+R key to open Run box
2. Type “gpedit.msc” and enter. 
A Group Policy Editor settings window will open.


3. In the left side panel, click sequently as below
User Configuration-> Administrative Templates-> Control Panel
4. In the right side panel, you will see the item “ Prohibit access to the control panel”. Double click that and select Enabled in that window. Click ok button to save the settings.



That’s it. Then you do not worry about control panel settings. You can set disabled to revert back the previous settings. This method can work in Windows XP, too.
