How to Recover from a Restore Point
Type system restore in the search box of Start menu then press Enter.
Now the System Restore Wizard will open. From here we've to choose either the recommended restore point, which of the most recent one or choose a different restore point, which of for the situation we want to do. Select the radio button, for example, Choose a different restore point button then click Next.
Now a list of different restore points with its description will be displayed. The user did several attempts of installing or uninstalling on his system; so they will all be listed with date and time. To get more restore points, make tick in the box of Show more restore points.
Now scroll and determine which restore point to be selected. As we know, the system being started unstable at the time when trying to get rid of (for example) Office 2010. So, pick a restore point, which is before a couple of days, when everything was working properly.
When picking up a restore point, it's also necessary to finding out the affected programs or drivers.

By clicking the button of Scan for affected programs will do the rest then determine what will be affected for the restore point you choose.
Now the result will be displayed. The result suggests which of the programs and drivers to be deleted; and what programs and drivers to be restored (though they may not work correctly and need to be re installed).
To confirm the restore point just click Finish button.
Click Yes, if the message saying: it can not be undone until it has completed or cannot be undone if being run in Safe Mode.
The System Restore process begins…
You’ll see a series of messages displaying while the process going on and different things being restored too. The time for the completion to the process may vary computer to computer.
Finally a message will be displayed that System Restore completed successfully.

Now, the system should be functioning properly. You still have all your documents, but some programs and drivers might be missing that should be re installed again.
Final Word
Creating and maintaining the System Restore Points are important for the overall health of the system. Some programs including Windows updates will create a Restore Point automatically but not always. System Restore Points can do the system's life easier, if something went bad.
